It became the name for a welcoming house and social space in Paradise, Nevada, where friends of all sizes could come together for parties, barbecues, swimming, game nights, and relaxed get-togethers without fear of bullying, body shaming, or judgment.

How long has Pearadise existed?
In its current online form, Pearadise has existed since July 4, 2020, when the Discord was officially opened to the public and announced online. The response was immediate, and the community grew to more than 1,000 users in less than three days.
But the spirit of Pearadise goes back much further. Long before TikTok or Discord, the idea already existed as a safe, inclusive, all-welcoming place where people of different sizes, races, and genders could come together comfortably and enjoy each other’s company.

What gave Pearadise its start?
Pearadise was not created from a business plan. It came together naturally. The idea grew out of speaking openly about liking plus-size women, confronting the bullying that came with that, and seeing how many people needed a place where they could feel calm, safe, accepted, and free from shame.
Over time, it became clear that many people had gone through painful experiences involving body shaming, bullying, exclusion, and even abuse. Pearadise grew out of the desire to create a real safe space — not just in words, but in practice — where people could relax, be themselves, and not worry about nasty comments, uncomfortable furniture, or embarrassing situations because of their size.

How are things planned at Pearadise?
Pearadise has always worked best as a group effort. While some decisions around content and branding naturally come from one central voice, the larger community side has always benefited from shared input, trusted moderators, and friends working together.
On Discord, a dedicated admin team helps keep the space clean, friendly, and welcoming, while also stepping in when people behave inappropriately. Pearadise is not meant to be a dating app or a pickup scene. It is a real support community.
When it comes to the house and in-person events, parties are planned together, with Pearadise members helping with guest coordination, food, decorations, and the overall atmosphere. The best version of Pearadise has always come from collaboration, not from one person simply calling all the shots.
