The very first TikTok
This was where it all started. My first upload went live on May 12, 2020.
Pearadise1 was first and foremost the name we used on TikTok, but the story started even earlier. During the first COVID lockdown, the world was shut down, people were bored at home, and so was I. Around May of 2020, I found the TikTok app and got drawn in by confident plus-size girls dancing to trending music. I wanted to see what it was all about.
On May 12, 2020, I posted my first TikTok under the name ssbbwfan73, still experimenting with effects and the simple editing tools the app offered. After posting a few videos and gaining more than 1,000 followers in only three days, I was hooked. I downloaded Adobe Premiere, started following tutorials, and got deep into editing videos like the broom trick and the “Wipe It Down” challenge.
Soon after that, I posted a duet where I told the world that I genuinely like big girls. It was totally unplanned and made in less than five minutes, but it went viral. Suddenly I was flooded with messages and friend requests. That was the moment I realized I had found my niche: promoting body positivity and encouraging people to be confident, whatever size they may be.
By late June of 2020, I discovered the LIVE feature on TikTok and from then on I had a mission: talk to viewers, encourage viewers, and bring a smile to people’s faces by reminding everyone that being plus-size is not a crime, and that for men it is completely acceptable to have a preference for plus-size women without feeling pressured to hide it. The LIVE grew so popular that we eventually needed another communication platform where people could make friends without me having to be online all the time. That is how the Discord was born on July 4, 2020.
Very early on, promoting body positivity on TikTok turned into an uphill battle. Countless times the LIVE was suspended for seven days at a time for things like “Vulgar Content,” “Sexual Activities,” “Nudity,” or “Bullying,” when in reality we were just sitting on LIVE chatting with people, showing cute outfits, eating dinner, or playing card games, fully dressed of course. The constant bans eventually led to the entire ssbbwfan73 account being permanently banned in February of 2021 for “Multiple Violations,” but TikTok never clearly explained why.

Once I got into editing, everything changed. I was learning quickly, following tutorials, experimenting with transitions, and figuring out what worked. Then the viral body-positive videos started to hit.
After months of growth, LIVE streams, and repeated suspensions, the original ssbbwfan73 account was permanently banned.
Encouraged by friends, I made a new account and chose a fun, memorable name: Pearadise. It was a play on words, combining “pear-shaped” and “paradise,” while also referencing Paradise, Nevada, the part of Las Vegas where I live. The new Pearadise1 account took off like wildfire. Videos went viral and the account grew to over 200,000 followers in less than six months.
Pearadise1 lasted from March 2021 until March 2026, when it was permanently banned by TikTok without warning and without any proper explanation. Along with it, my other accounts, including Pearadise2 and another backup account, were also permanently disabled. Through it all, the mission stayed the same: body positivity, friendship, fun, and a place where people could feel seen. Pearadise1 now continues on other platforms like YouTube, Kick, Instagram, and Discord.
The new account found its audience quickly. Pearadise1 started gaining momentum almost immediately.
Pearadise became more than a TikTok account. It became a community, a shared identity, and eventually an online home for people looking for connection and confidence.
Years later, the creativity was still there. The edits kept evolving, and the content still had energy, humor, and style.
In the end, the Pearadise1 account was also permanently banned. But the community, the message, and the story did not end there.
Even though the TikTok chapter ended, Pearadise continues on other platforms and on this website. Explore more about the community, the founder, and where to follow along now.
